BBNaija Season 9 contestant, Chinwe, has stirred up controversy by saying that afrobeats legend, Wizkid, is no longer relevant. According to her, the rising star Rema has now overtaken Wizkid in terms of fame and success in the music industry. Chinwe shared her thoughts with fellow housemates during a conversation on Saturday.

She also took the opportunity to praise Burna Boy for consistently proving himself as a true superstar.

She said,

“Wizkid is no longer relevant, when was the last time he sold out a show? Even Rema is doing better than him,”

“Currently, Wizkid isn’t doing great. He has to proof himself and earn his status as a superstar. If it’s Burna Boy, I won’t be having this conversation. Burna Boy is doing well. He’s proving himself.”

Chinwe’s comments have sparked discussions among fans about the current state of afrobeats and whether Rema is truly the bigger star now.
