Jennifer Lopez has officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck after being married for just two years. Court documents show that Lopez filed for divorce on Tuesday, August 20, in Los Angeles County. Interestingly, the couple didn’t have a prenup in place.

Lopez and Affleck first got engaged back in the early 2000s but ended things before walking down the aisle. After spending 17 years apart, they rekindled their relationship in 2021 and tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022.

Lopez has been married four times in total. Her most notable marriage was to singer Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014, with whom she has two children. She was also engaged to former Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, but they called off the engagement in 2021.

Affleck, on the other hand, was married to actress Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, and they share three children. Lopez and Affleck’s love story started when they met on the set of the movie “Gigli” in 2002. The pair became engaged later that year, only to split before marriage.

In April 2022, Lopez announced that they were engaged once again, 20 years after their first proposal. The couple married that July in a low-key Las Vegas wedding. However, rumors began swirling in May 2024 that their relationship was on the rocks when they weren’t seen together for weeks, and Affleck reportedly moved out of their shared home.
