On Tuesday, a tragic accident occurred along the Ojoo-Iwo Road near the Agbowo/Ajao area in Ibadan, Oyo State’s capital. The accident involved a trailer carrying roofing sheets, which collided with an 18-seater Hummer bus, a Micra taxi, and a Honda CR-V car. Unfortunately, the crash resulted in the death of at least 25 people.
Eyewitnesses reported that the trailer lost control and rammed into the vehicles, causing severe damage and loss of life. Some of the injured passengers were quickly rescued and rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
The aftermath of the accident led to significant traffic congestion along the busy Ojoo-Iwo Road. Federal Road Safety Corps officials, along with other emergency responders, were on the scene, working tirelessly to manage the situation and clear the road.
