Gospel Singer Aduke Gold Passes Away

Nigerian gospel singer Ajayi Aduke Morounkola, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has passed away. The news of her death was shared by her colleague, Esther Igbekele, on Facebook, who mourned the loss of a remarkable artist and described her as a significant figure in the gospel music scene.

Aduke Gold was renowned for her powerful gospel performances and gained notable recognition with her song “Nitori Ogo,” released in 2021. Born and raised in Lagos, she was the 11th child in her family. She started her music career in 2004 and made a significant impact with her performance at a tribute event for the late gospel artist Baba Are.

In addition to her music career, Aduke Gold was academically accomplished. She earned a degree in History and International Studies from Lagos State University and furthered her education with a higher degree in Child Psychology from the UK.

Her death marks a significant loss to the gospel music community and beyond. The cause of her passing has not yet been disclosed, but her contributions to music and her educational achievements will be remembered and celebrated.
