RCCG Sets New Dress Code Standards for Pastors – Altar not for male pastors with braids, women with heavy makeup

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has introduced new dress code guidelines for its pastors and ministers. Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of RCCG, recently addressed these changes during the church’s annual convention.

In his sermon, Pastor Adeboye expressed his concern over certain fashion choices among church workers, specifically calling out male pastors who wear braided hair and female clergy who apply heavy makeup or wear false eyelashes. He made it clear that these trends will no longer be allowed on the altar.

According to Pastor Adeboye, the new dress code is part of RCCG’s commitment to upholding modesty and reverence within the church. He emphasized that those serving in leadership roles must reflect the values and seriousness of their positions.

The decision has sparked conversations among church members and the broader Christian community, with many discussing the balance between personal expression and maintaining traditional standards within the church.

As RCCG moves forward with these changes, church workers are expected to align their appearance with the new guidelines, ensuring that their dress and grooming reflect the dignity and respect required for serving on the altar.
