“I never used EFCC to arrest my twin brother Paul” – Peter Okoye clears the air on accusations made by his twin brother Paul

Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P, has responded to allegations made by his twin brother, Paul Okoye (Rude Boy), regarding the involvement of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in their family matters.

Paul had recently accused Peter of reporting him to the EFCC. However, in a detailed statement, Peter explained that he never filed any petition against his twin brother. Instead, he shared how the situation unfolded.

According to Peter, he, Paul, and their older brother, Jude Okoye, jointly own a management company called Northside Entertainment, which manages all affairs related to P-Square, the famous music duo they were once part of. However, Peter became suspicious when he discovered another company named Northside Music, which bore a similar name to their own company.

Intrigued, Peter decided to investigate further and was shocked to find out that the company was secretly owned by their elder brother, Jude, and his wife, Ifeoma Okoye. The company was registered using the address of Ifeoma’s family home.

Peter confronted Paul about the existence of this company, but Paul denied having any knowledge of it. Concerned about potential financial mismanagement, Peter decided to take legal action. He instructed his lawyers to file a petition, ensuring that his twin brother Paul was not mentioned in it. The petition was specifically against Jude and Ifeoma.

Peter’s concerns were later validated when it was discovered that millions of dollars and hundreds of millions of Naira were being funneled into the secret company, Northside Music, from their own Northside Entertainment. During the EFCC’s investigation, Jude admitted to diverting funds into the secret company. This revelation led to Jude’s detention for questioning, during which he also mentioned Paul’s name.

Peter clarified that this is why the EFCC later involved Paul in the investigation, but he never personally reported his brother to the authorities. He challenged anyone to provide evidence that he ever filed a petition against Paul or included his name in any legal documents.
