In a troubling incident in Nkpologwu, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, gunmen have kidnapped a lawyer and two other people. The abduction occurred on Saturday, August 11, 2024, between 7:30 and 8:00 am.

Reports indicate that the gunmen arrived in the community and took the victims from various locations. A video that’s been shared widely shows an overturned vehicle on the Nkpologwu-Akpo Road, which is believed to belong to one of the victims, Ahinze.

Prof. Ferdinand Ezeiruaku, the President General of Nkpologwu Community, has confirmed the kidnapping. He explained that the lawyer and one other victim were from Abuja, while the third victim was from Port Harcourt. They had returned to Nkpologwu for a local women’s group event.

The community leader is worried about the victims’ safety and is calling on everyone to pray for their safe return.
