A woman named Eucharia Okpalannadi is urgently seeking justice for her 3-year-old daughter, who she claims was sexually abused by her husband, Magnus Okpalannadi. This distressing situation has unfolded in Onitsha, Anambra State.
Eucharia, a mother of five, initially dismissed her daughter’s complaints about inappropriate touching as mere jokes. However, after noticing physical signs of abuse, she took the child to a hospital where the doctor confirmed her worst fears.
Despite confronting her husband, Magnus denied the accusations. Feeling that her life and her child’s safety were at risk due to her husband’s threats, Eucharia has turned to the authorities for help. She wants Magnus to be arrested and prosecuted to prevent further harm.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Ify Obinabo, has labeled this a serious case and cautioned against exploiting the situation for financial gain. She emphasized the importance of respecting the investigation and supporting the victims.
Eucharia has received assistance from the Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, ensuring that she and her children are being well cared for during this challenging time.
