In a shocking incident over the weekend, a herbalist named Ezekiel was arrested in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. Ezekiel, who hails from Ezza in Ebonyi State, was found in possession of 11 human bones.

Security operatives raided his residence after receiving a tip-off from vigilant residents who noticed suspicious activities at his home. During the raid, Ezekiel confessed that the bones were indeed human and that he used them to prepare various “high-quality charms” for his clients. He revealed that a relative from an area in Ebonyi State, which has been experiencing communal clashes, supplied him with the bones.

SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, confirmed the arrest on Monday, July 29, 2024. He stated, “The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation. Further details on the case will be communicated as the investigation progresses.”

This incident has sparked concern among the local community, highlighting the need for increased vigilance and reporting of suspicious activities to the authorities.
