According to local reports and confirmed by Captain Muhammad Shehu, spokesperson for the Sector 2 Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai, the explosion was caused by an IED that had been planted in the market. Thankfully, initial reports indicate that this was not a suicide bombing.
The explosion injured a young girl, who was immediately taken to a local health facility in Buni Yadi for treatment. Her current condition is being monitored by medical staff, and authorities are working to ensure she receives the necessary care.
