Netflix has raised its subscription prices in Nigeria for the second time in just three months. This price increase affects all subscription plans and is aimed at boosting Netflix’s revenue and supporting the growth of its content library.
Here’s what the new prices look like:
- The Premium Plan now costs N7,000 per month, up 40% from the previous N5,000.
- The Standard Plan has increased by 37.5%, from N4,000 to N5,500. This plan is favored by many Nigerians for its HD quality and the ability to watch on multiple screens.
- The Basic Plan, previously priced at N2,900, has gone up by 21% to N3,500.
- The Mobile Plan, the most affordable option, has seen the largest increase of 83%, rising from N1,200 to N2,200.
According to Netflix, these price adjustments are necessary to accelerate revenue growth and continue expanding their content offerings.
