In Lagos, a major fraud operation was shut down when the police arrested a group involved in producing counterfeit sachet water. The suspects were found using the brand name and NAFDAC number of a legitimate company to manufacture and sell fake sachet water. This operation was uncovered in Oluwole Market, Apapa, following a tipoff received on July 19.

When law enforcement officials raided the site, they discovered numerous bags of counterfeit sachet water and the machinery used for its production. The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the suspects will be taken to court once the investigation is completed. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to gather more information.
