The Katsina State Hisbah Board has taken a significant step in its mission to promote good morals by destroying N60 million worth of alcohol and other illegal drugs in Funtua. According to the Hisbah Commander, Dr. Aminu Usman, the board recently seized and destroyed 1,750 crates of alcohol and 33 jerry cans of locally brewed beer.
Dr. Usman explained that this effort is part of their ongoing mandate to ensure good morals among the people in the state. He praised the officials of the board for their dedication and urged them to remain committed to their duties.
He also called for the support of religious leaders, emphasizing that the Hisbah Board does not belong to any particular group or sect but serves the entire community. Governor Dikko Radda received commendation for his strong support of the board’s activities, which has been crucial in their operations.
