Hilda Dokubo, a prominent Labour Party Chairman in Rivers State, has been suspended from her position by her ward in Asari Toru Local Government Area. This decision was detailed in a letter from the ward’s executive committee, which includes Chairman Mr. Ajalamonia Ibama, Secretary Mr. Lole Amacheer, Treasurer Mr. Emmanuel Ibamathe, Women Leader Mrs. Osaki Dieypiriye, and Publicity Secretary Osaki Dokubo.
The suspension came after an emergency meeting on July 15, where the ward executives accused Dokubo of financial misconduct, abuse of office, and violating party regulations. They claimed to have found substantial evidence supporting these allegations following a thorough investigation. The 54-year-old actress and politician’s suspension marks a significant development in Rivers State politics.
