Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has told his cabinet members that he will remove anyone who does not meet his expectations.
Diri gave this warning on Thursday during the 130th State Executive Council meeting at Government House, Yenagoa. He urged the cabinet members to support his administration’s goal of serving the people.
The governor said his administration’s policies and programs were positively impacting the state and encouraged new cabinet members to prioritize service to the state.
He expressed happiness that the people appreciated the ongoing development projects, as shown by praise from Bayelsans.
He highlighted key projects like the ongoing Nembe-Brass road construction, the completed Sagbama-Ekeremor road, and the establishment of science, technical, and vocational schools.
He was confident that the new commissioners would perform well because they were chosen based on their qualifications.
He said,
“You have joined this council at a critical time when a lot is expected from us. You are our representatives in the ministries.
“Any cabinet member who does not align with the government’s policies and vision will be removed. You were all chosen for your integrity, and we believe you will perform well,”
