The Ministry of Livestock Development was established by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in an effort to find a long-term solution to the ongoing conflicts between farmers and herders that occur throughout the nation.
The Renewed Hope Livestock Reform Implementation Committee’s inaugural meeting marked the announcement of the ministry’s formation.
The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other members of the government were present at the Inauguration.
Remember that President Tinubu authorized the formation of the Presidential Committee in September 2023 with the goal of reforming the livestock sector and offering long-term solutions to the nation’s ongoing conflicts between farmers and herders.
