Big Brother Africa star and actor, Tayo Faniran, has criticized the current recruitment process of the show.
He expressed frustration with the organizers for selecting new stars with unremarkable lives, unlike his experience where it took many years of auditions to get chosen.
Sharing his anger on Instagram, Tayo said, “I didn’t like social media because I thought it made fame less valuable.”
He mentioned that he auditioned for the show in 2009 but only got selected in 2014. Nowadays, anyone with a lackluster life can become famous on TV.
“It’s disappointing when the standards are so low that even a rat could easily meet them,” he said.
Tayo expressed his frustration, saying, “I am very upset tonight. To all those supporting mediocrity, keep it up; you are only harming the future for the next generations.”
