Afrobeats star Wizkid has stirred controversy with a recent cryptic post ahead of his colleague Davido’s wedding to his fiancée, Chioma Rowland.

Davido recently confirmed that despite infidelity allegations, he and Chioma would be getting married on June 25 in Lagos. He shared their pre-wedding photos on social media on Sunday evening.

Wizkid, known as the Starboy boss, caused a stir by tweeting “Lol” shortly after Davido released the pre-wedding photos.

On Monday morning, Wizkid posted again, saying, “Saying a prayer for every understanding woman on earth! Your king loves you,” which many fans interpreted as a subtle jab at Davido and Chioma.

This post elicited mixed reactions, with many believing Wizkid was mocking Chioma, who has been understanding of Davido despite recent cheating allegations.

Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama, recently revealed that she and Davido rekindled their romance between 2020 and 2022, a period during which Davido was also courting Chioma.

Following Davido’s wedding announcement, some fans began to mock Wizkid. One tweet suggested Wizkid should marry his baby mama, Jada, just as Davido is marrying Chioma. In response, Wizkid tweeted “lol,” meaning “Laugh out Loud.”
