Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, has pledged to secure a win for Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC candidate, in the upcoming September 21 governorship election.

Oshiomhole expressed his commitment to doing whatever it takes, even if it means taking on the role of a “sweeper,” to ensure APC’s victory.

Speaking during the inauguration of the party’s Campaign Council, the former governor urged flood victims and parents whose children lack proper school facilities to support the APC candidate.

Oshiomhole declared, “I am willing to be a sweeper to ensure Senator Monday Okpebholo becomes governor.”

Senator Matthew Urhoghide, the Director General of the APC Campaign Council, called on party members to put aside their differences and work together for the party’s success.

“Every member and supporter of the APC is a member of our campaign for genuine change under the leadership of Senator Monday Okpebholo.

“Titles do not matter, every member is a canvasser, every member of our party must work hard to win their units and wards, local government and state.”

Urhoghide emphasized the need to move away from focusing on money in the campaign.

On September 21, Edo State voters will choose their next governor. The main candidates are Senator Monday Okpebholo (APC), Asue Ighodalo (PDP), and Olumide Akpata (Labour Party).
