Finidi George has reportedly stepped down as the head coach of Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles.
Sports journalist Toyin Ibitoye shared this news on X a few minutes ago.
Finidi, a former Nigerian football star and a key player in the 1994 Super Eagles squad that won Nigeria’s second African Cup of Nations title, took on the head coach role last month.
His resignation follows the NFF’s recent announcement that they are looking for a foreign Technical Adviser due to a series of poor performances in the World Cup qualifiers.
So far, neither the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) nor Finidi George has confirmed his resignation.
