Obasanjo Spotted Wearing Tinubu’s Cap (VIDEO)

A video has emerged showing former President Olusegun Obasanjo wearing a cap with President Bola Tinubu’s logo.

Obasanjo wore the ‘Tinubu cap’ at an event attended by several African dignitaries.

Obasanjo and Tinubu are known to be from different political parties, even though they both come from the Southwest region of Nigeria.

During the 2023 presidential election, Obasanjo supported Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.

Before the election, Tinubu visited Obasanjo at his home in Abeokuta, Ogun State, hoping for an endorsement. However, Obasanjo chose to support Obi instead.

Tinubu was accompanied to the meeting by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, former APC interim chairman Chief Bisi Akande, former Ogun State Governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and then Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, among other APC leaders.

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri commented on the video, noting the unexpected shift in alliances. On X, he posted: “Former President Obasanjo wears Tinubu branded cap. I thought he was supporting Peter Obi. Interesting realignment.”
