Nurses and Midwives Join National Strike Called by NLC and TUC

The National Association of Nurses and Midwives has notified its members to take part in the nationwide strike organized by labor unions.

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have initiated a countrywide strike starting Monday, June 3rd, to push for a new minimum wage for Nigerian workers.

Salisu Abubakar, the Public Relations Officer of the Nurses and Midwives Association at the Federal Medical Centre in Gusau, Zamfara State, confirmed that the national union has instructed its members to participate in the ongoing strike.

He mentioned that the members are instructed to join the strike in accordance with the national directive
