Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that it will take action against the United States and its allies if they violate what Iran calls red lines.
The statement, released on Tuesday, came after US President Donald Trump issued a threat to Iran.
“The Revolutionary Guards declare that if the US military crosses our red lines, our response will extend beyond the Gulf region,” the IRGC said.
The statement added that Iran plans to target infrastructure to cut off the US and its allies from oil and gas supplies in the region for years.
Iran also cautioned America’s partners in the region, noting that so far it has shown restraint for the sake of maintaining good neighborly relations.
The IRGC explained that while it had previously limited the choice of targets for retaliation, it has now removed all restrictions, signaling readiness for broader action.
