A senior intelligence officer of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Majid Khademi, has been killed following Israeli airstrikes carried out on Monday.
The news was confirmed by Iranian state media, although they did not provide full details about the incident.
Israel Katz also confirmed that Israel was responsible for targeting Khademi during the operation.
Katz said the attacks are aimed at stopping threats, adding that while Iran targets civilians, Israel is focusing on eliminating key figures it considers dangerous. He also warned that Israel will continue to go after such leaders.
Reports indicate that Khademi was among about 25 people who lost their lives during the joint wave of U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran that day.
At the same time, Iran responded by launching drones and missiles toward targets in the Gulf region and Israel. The attacks reportedly killed at least two people in Haifa on Sunday night.
Since the conflict began, several high-ranking Iranian officials have been killed, including Ali Larijani and Mohammad Pakpour, showing the growing intensity of the crisis.
