EPL: Petit names three Chelsea stars to leave Stamford Bridge this summer

Former Emmanuel Petit has suggested that three key players at Chelsea FC could be heading for the exit this summer. According to him, Enzo Fernandez, Cole Palmer, and Moises Caicedo may consider leaving due to frustration with the club’s current situation.

Petit made the remarks after Chelsea’s heavy defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. He observed that the body language of the players after the match showed disappointment and uncertainty about their future at the club.

The former midfielder noted that the trio are ambitious players who are eager to win trophies. He added that despite the club’s massive spending in recent seasons, results have not matched expectations, leaving top players questioning their long-term commitment.

He explained that Chelsea, given its financial strength and squad depth, should be competing at the highest level both in England and across Europe. However, the team’s recent performances have failed to reflect that standard.

Petit further pointed out that players at the peak of their careers want success and stability. Without clear progress or silverware, it becomes difficult to convince them to stay, especially when other top clubs may offer better opportunities.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Chelsea could face crucial decisions regarding squad rebuilding. Whether the club can retain its key players or risk losing them may depend largely on how it plans to restore competitiveness and ambition.
