The Federal Government has announced the launch of a new self-service platform under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), aimed at making pension administration easier and more transparent for workers and retirees. The platform is designed to reduce delays, cut paperwork, and allow contributors to manage their pension records with ease.
According to the government, the digital platform will enable pension contributors to access their accounts, update personal details, track contributions, and submit requests without visiting pension offices. Officials said the initiative is part of ongoing reforms to improve service delivery and strengthen confidence in the pension system.
Authorities explained that the CPS self-service platform will also help eliminate common complaints such as missing records, slow verification processes, and long waiting periods for benefits. By moving key services online, the government believes pension management will become more efficient and less stressful for both workers and retirees.
The government urged public and private sector employees enrolled in the CPS to take advantage of the new platform. It added that the system would continue to be upgraded to ensure security, reliability, and wider access, as part of efforts to modernise Nigeria’s pension administration.
