In a heartbreaking incident, a young woman identified as Adekolore Idowu Glory, a recent graduate of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), was allegedly beaten and raped to death. According to reports, the 22-year-old was attacked while returning home from school in Iyowa community, Benin City, on June 13.
Glory’s brother, who identified himself as an X user, revealed that his sister had just completed her studies and was undergoing clearance procedures when the tragic incident occurred. Her lifeless body was discovered near her mother’s house, prompting calls for justice from her grieving family.
Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, stated that an investigation is underway to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the heinous act. He described the scene as distressing, noting that the victim’s body was found unclothed with signs of trauma.
