President Donald Trump has said that the United States is making progress in efforts to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine.

However, he did not give details about any discussions he has had with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump hinted that he had spoken with Putin. If confirmed, this would be the first known conversation between a U.S. president and Putin since early 2022.

When asked if the conversation happened before or after he became president on January 20, Trump responded, “I’ve had it.

Let’s just say I’ve had it… And I expect to have many more conversations. We have to get that war ended.”

He added that the United States is in contact with both Russia and Ukraine and is working to stop the war.

Although Trump has promised to end the conflict, he has not yet shared how he plans to do so. In a recent interview with the New York Post, he refused to disclose how many times he had spoken with Putin or when their last conversation took place.
