In a recent interview with Nollywood Radio, veteran actor Yemi Solade, who is 64 years old, shared insights into his successful marriage of 21 years to his wife, Hannah. The couple tied the knot in September 2003 and has built a strong relationship over the years.

Yemi credited his wife as the backbone of their marriage, saying her support has been crucial in navigating the ups and downs of life. He highlighted that their strong friendship is one of the main reasons their marriage has thrived.

Known for his roles in popular shows like Papa Ajasco and Super Story, Yemi also addressed some rumors about his career. He denied claims that he asks for sexual favors in exchange for movie roles, explaining that he has no control over casting decisions. He commended Hannah for her calm response to these unfounded rumors.

“I give it to my wife. She manages me very well. She is been very tolerant; she perseveres a lot. My wife, apart from every other thing, is just a normal person. She is very selfless, she sacrifices more than anybody I know in this world. She is God-sent,” Solade said.

“She understands when I have and when I don’t have. She is not ostentatious. Anything I give to her, she prays for me, and that goes a long way.

“Marriage is more like friendship because it is a life contract”.

“Once I show her and say ‘Honey, sorry, something is brewing,’ and then she says ‘just be careful’, that is all. My wife is a very peaceful person; otherwise, we would not be together for 22 years now,” he added.

The couple has been blessed with two children, Rola and Femi. Yemi mentioned that he met Hannah while working on Super Story and shared that his first wife had left to live abroad.
