On Tuesday, the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) took decisive action by confiscating banned styrofoam food packs from a warehouse in Ikeja. This operation underscores the government’s commitment to environmental protection and public health.

Acting on this information, officials from the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources investigated the warehouse located at No. 6 Ogusefunmi Street, off Nurudeen Street in Anifowoshe, Ikeja. During the inspection, they discovered a large quantity of banned styrofoam food packs being illegally stored.
LAGESC, responsible for enforcing environmental laws in Lagos State, swiftly moved to confiscate the banned items. Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner for the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, reported the incident on social media, highlighting the successful operation.
