Man Caught With 4 Human Heads In Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a man, Gafaru Rasaki, for allegedly exhuming human remains from a cemetery in Sagamu and being found in possession of four human heads. The arrest took place on January 21, 2026, according to the state police spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi.

Police investigations revealed that Rasaki unlawfully dug up the human remains, an act described by authorities as a serious violation of the law. The recovered items have been secured, and the suspect is being interrogated as the case continues. The police emphasised that this kind of crime is a blatant disregard for human dignity.

The police spokesperson stated that Rasaki would be charged to court once investigations are completed. Authorities assured the public that measures are in place to ensure safety and enforce the law, warning that anyone involved in similar acts of desecration would face legal consequences.

The Ogun State Police reiterated its commitment to protecting residents and maintaining public order. DSP Babaseyi urged citizens to report suspicious activities and cooperate with security agencies to prevent crimes involving human remains or other illegal acts in the state.
