All terrorists in Nigeria must be killed – Fani-Kayode to US

Former Minister of Aviation and ambassador-designate, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called for a hardline military approach to terrorism in Nigeria, saying armed groups should be completely defeated. He argued that those responsible for years of deadly attacks across the country do not deserve negotiations or concessions of any kind.

In a post shared on X, Fani-Kayode said he has maintained the same position for more than 15 years. According to him, terrorists have caused the deaths of thousands of Nigerians, both Christians and Muslims, and should not be shown mercy. He insisted that dialogue or compromise only weakens efforts to restore peace and security.

The former minister added that Nigeria could welcome support from international partners, including the United States, but only if such cooperation comes without conditions. He stressed that foreign assistance should focus strictly on defeating terrorism and strengthening Nigeria’s capacity to secure lives and property.

Fani-Kayode concluded that only decisive and overwhelming force would be effective against terrorist groups and their supporters. He maintained that Nigeria must take firm action to end insecurity and prevent further loss of innocent lives, urging authorities to remain resolute in confronting the threat.
