Rivers: Price of peace cheaper than war – Fayose warns Fubara

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has cautioned Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara to prioritize peace over conflict. He said the cost of maintaining peace is far lower than the price paid in war, warning that political hostilities could harm the state and its people.

Fayose made the remarks while reflecting on ongoing tensions in Rivers State politics. He urged Fubara to exercise wisdom and restraint in handling disagreements, stressing that leadership requires calmness and foresight.

The ex-governor also highlighted that unnecessary conflict could deepen divisions and weaken governance. According to him, leaders should focus on uniting their people rather than letting rivalries escalate into political battles.

In conclusion, Fayose advised that resolving differences peacefully is essential for the progress and stability of Rivers State. He emphasized that a commitment to dialogue and understanding is always more beneficial than engaging in disputes that could destabilize society.
