Residents of several communities in Nasarawa State have expressed frustration over a road project that remains abandoned six years after it was flagged off. Locals say the incomplete road has caused serious inconvenience, affecting daily activities, trade, and transportation.
Community leaders stated that the neglected road has worsened travel difficulties, particularly during the rainy season when mud and flooding make some areas almost inaccessible. Farmers and traders say their businesses have suffered due to poor road conditions.
The affected communities have called on the state government and relevant authorities to resume work on the road and complete the project as promised. They emphasised that timely delivery of such infrastructure is crucial for social and economic development.
Finally, the residents urged government officials to regularly monitor ongoing projects to prevent delays and ensure that public funds are used efficiently. They stressed that completing the road will restore confidence in local governance and improve living conditions.
