China has said that the United States’ decision to withdraw from some United Nations agencies and other international bodies could help strengthen true multilateral cooperation. Chinese officials argued that global institutions should not be controlled by one powerful country, but should reflect the interests of all nations.
According to China, when a dominant country pulls out or reduces its influence, it creates more space for developing and smaller countries to participate actively in global decision-making. Beijing said multilateral organisations must become more balanced, fair, and inclusive to serve the world better.
China also stated that global cooperation should be based on respect, equality, and shared responsibility. It warned that using international institutions as tools for political pressure damages trust and weakens global unity.
The Chinese government said it remains committed to multilateralism and will continue to support international organisations that promote peace, development, and cooperation. It urged countries to work together through dialogue instead of unilateral actions that could divide the global community.
