Stand firm in PDP’ – Party chieftain tells Bauchi, Zamfara Govs

A senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the governors of Bauchi and Zamfara states to remain loyal to the party and not be distracted by pressure to defect. The chieftain said the PDP still has strong support across the country and remains a major force in Nigerian politics.

According to him, leaving the party now could weaken the opposition and confuse supporters who voted for the governors under the PDP platform. He stressed that party loyalty is important for stability, unity, and the growth of democracy, especially at a time when many Nigerians are worried about governance and the economy.

The party leader also noted that the PDP offers room for internal reforms and dialogue, making it unnecessary for leaders to abandon the party whenever disagreements arise. He encouraged the governors to work with party leaders to resolve challenges instead of seeking solutions elsewhere.

He concluded by saying that the PDP needs strong and committed leaders to rebuild confidence among Nigerians ahead of future elections. He added that the governors’ experience and influence could help reposition the party and make it more competitive nationwide.
