PDP depends on voters to win elections, not bigwigs – Ondo chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has stressed that the party relies on the support of ordinary voters to secure electoral victories, rather than depending on influential figures or party bigwigs. The chairman made this statement while addressing journalists on Wednesday.

He emphasized that grassroots engagement, transparency, and mobilization of citizens remain the foundation of the party’s strategy ahead of upcoming elections. According to him, the strength of the PDP lies in the people and their willingness to participate actively in the democratic process.

The chairman also highlighted that the party is committed to listening to the concerns of residents, ensuring that policies reflect the needs of the electorate, and fostering inclusive governance. He noted that relying on powerful individuals alone cannot guarantee success at the polls.

Party officials urged members to continue engaging with communities, encouraging voter participation, and promoting the party’s vision for development. They reiterated that winning elections requires the trust and involvement of ordinary citizens rather than the influence of a few elites.
