Ogun police receives newly commissioned officers, calls for professionalism

The Ogun State Police Command has welcomed a batch of newly commissioned officers into its ranks, urging them to uphold high standards of professionalism in service. The officers were formally received at the command headquarters in Abeokuta on Monday.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, highlighted the importance of discipline, integrity, and dedication in maintaining public trust and safety. He encouraged the new officers to serve responsibly and avoid any conduct that could tarnish the image of the Nigeria Police Force.

During the commissioning ceremony, senior officers congratulated the recruits on their achievements and reminded them of the challenges of policing in a modern society. They also emphasized the need for officers to respect human rights and act with fairness in all their duties.

The Ogun State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to community policing and urged the newly commissioned officers to actively engage with citizens, prevent crime, and maintain law and order across the state.
