The Rivers State Government has restated its commitment to improving the welfare of workers across the state. Officials said the administration remains focused on creating better working conditions and ensuring that public servants are treated fairly and with respect.
Speaking through the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the government noted that workers play a key role in delivering public services and supporting development. It stressed that policies on salaries, promotions, and workplace safety are being reviewed regularly to meet current economic realities.
The state government also assured labour unions that dialogue remains open and that concerns raised by workers will continue to receive attention. According to the government, cooperation between workers and authorities is necessary to maintain peace and productivity in the state.
The government encouraged workers to stay committed to their duties while reforms are being implemented. It added that a motivated workforce is essential for good governance and promised to keep prioritising workers’ welfare as part of its development agenda.
