Security operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arraigned a suspected terrorist accused of killing innocent worshippers in Kogi State. The suspect was brought before a court after investigations linked him to a deadly attack that shocked residents and raised serious security concerns in the area.

According to reports, the DSS said the arrest followed weeks of intelligence gathering and tracking. The agency explained that the suspect is believed to be part of a violent network responsible for attacks on soft targets, including places of worship, with the aim of spreading fear among communities.

The DSS added that the arraignment shows the government’s resolve to ensure justice for victims and to deal firmly with individuals involved in terrorism-related activities. Prosecutors told the court that the charges were based on evidence gathered during the investigation, stressing that the offence poses a serious threat to national security.

Security authorities reassured Nigerians that efforts are ongoing to dismantle terror cells across the country. They also urged citizens to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely information, noting that community support remains key in preventing future attacks.
