Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has said the club is fully prepared to cope without two key players who will leave for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Speaking ahead of upcoming Premier League fixtures, Amorim noted that international tournaments are part of football and clubs must always be ready to adapt.
The Portuguese coach explained that while losing players to AFCON is not ideal, it also gives other squad members a chance to step up. He stressed that United have quality depth and young players eager to prove themselves when opportunities come.
Amorim added that the coaching staff have already planned adjustments to ensure the team remains competitive during the period. According to him, maintaining focus and balance will be crucial as the club continues its push for positive league results.
With a busy schedule ahead, Manchester United will aim to manage the transition smoothly. Amorim expressed confidence that the team’s structure and collective effort will help them stay strong despite the temporary absence of the AFCON-bound players.
