Vice President Kashim Shettima has attended the 2025 Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Conference held in Lagos. The high-level meeting brought together senior military officers to review Nigeria’s security situation and discuss strategies to strengthen the Army’s operations across the country.
At the event, Shettima praised the Nigerian Army for its sacrifices and commitment to national unity. He stressed the importance of professionalism, discipline, and modern training in tackling security challenges such as terrorism, banditry, and other forms of crime.
The conference also focused on improving welfare for soldiers, upgrading equipment, and enhancing cooperation with other security agencies. Military leaders used the platform to share experiences from the field and assess ongoing operations nationwide.
Shettima’s presence at the conference highlighted the Federal Government’s support for the Armed Forces. The Vice President assured the military of continued backing under President Bola Tinubu’s administration to ensure peace, stability, and safety for all Nigerians.
