One Year On, Adamawa Regional Group Marks Creation of Chiefdoms, Emirates

A regional socio-cultural group in Adamawa State has celebrated the first anniversary of the creation of new chiefdoms and emirates in the state. The group described the development as a major step toward preserving tradition, improving local administration, and giving more communities a sense of belonging.

At the anniversary event, leaders of the group said the new traditional institutions have helped strengthen peace and unity among different ethnic groups. They noted that the recognition of chiefdoms and emirates has reduced long-standing agitations and allowed communities to manage local affairs more effectively.

Speakers at the gathering praised the Adamawa State government for listening to the people and approving the creation of the traditional structures.
