The Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has dismissed the idea of the party joining the All Progressives Congress (APC), warning that such a move would only bring failure. He explained that the NNPP was created to offer Nigerians a fresh political direction, not to merge with the same system it criticises. According to him, joining the APC would destroy the party’s identity and the trust of its supporters.
He noted that many Nigerians joined the NNPP because they believed it would stand firm as an alternative voice. The chairman argued that aligning with the APC would betray the sacrifices and hopes invested in building the party. He stressed that the NNPP must remain focused on its mission of providing better leadership options for citizens frustrated with the ruling party.
The chairman also said that instead of discussing alliances with the APC, the party is concentrating on strengthening its internal structures. He urged members to stay committed and ignore rumours aimed at causing confusion. According to him, the NNPP must continue promoting accountability, fairness and transparency in governance.
He ended by reassuring supporters that the NNPP will not compromise its values for political convenience. He added that the party is determined to grow stronger and prepare for future elections as an independent force. For him, joining the APC is not an option but a direct path to failure, and the party will avoid such a mistake.
