The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) has announced the formation of caretaker committees for its chapters in Lagos and Ekiti states. This move aims to strengthen party operations and ensure smooth administration ahead of upcoming political activities.
According to party sources, the caretaker committees will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate activities at the state level, and prepare for internal elections. The NWC emphasized that the committees are temporary and will function until the party organizes proper state executive elections.
PDP leaders noted that the decision is part of a broader strategy to consolidate party structures, resolve internal conflicts, and enhance grassroots engagement. The committees are expected to focus on improving party outreach, mobilizing members, and maintaining party discipline.
The NWC called on all party members in Lagos and Ekiti to cooperate with the caretaker committees. By fostering unity and active participation, the party hopes to strengthen its presence and performance in future elections.
