Bauchi State marked World AIDS Day by providing medical care and support to over 30,000 HIV patients. The state government organized several programs to raise awareness about HIV prevention, treatment, and the importance of regular health check-ups. Health officials highlighted the progress made in controlling HIV in the region.

The state’s health ministry collaborated with local and international organizations to ensure that patients received antiretroviral therapy (ART) and counseling services. Mobile clinics and outreach programs were deployed to reach remote areas, helping people access treatment without barriers.

Officials emphasized that early detection and continuous treatment are crucial to improving the quality of life for people living with HIV. They encouraged citizens to undergo regular testing and to support those affected by the virus, reducing stigma and discrimination in the community.
