The Osun State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the appointment of a new state commander to lead its operations. The agency said the new leadership is expected to strengthen the fight against drug abuse and trafficking across the state.
According to the NDLEA, the new commander will work closely with community leaders, security agencies, and stakeholders to improve intelligence gathering and enhance enforcement efforts. The agency believes this change will help address growing concerns about drug-related crimes in Osun.
The commander is also expected to roll out new strategies aimed at preventing drug abuse, especially among young people. Part of the plan includes more public sensitization, school outreach programs, and stronger collaboration with rehabilitation centers.
The NDLEA urged residents of Osun State to support the new commander and cooperate with the agency to ensure a safer, drug-free environment. The leadership change is seen as a step toward boosting the state’s overall security and social stability.
