Ondo governor approves recruitment of 500 Amotekun operatives

The Ondo State Governor has approved the recruitment of 500 new Amotekun operatives to boost security across the state. This decision comes as part of ongoing efforts to tackle rising insecurity and provide better protection for residents. The government believes that increasing manpower will help strengthen community policing.

According to the governor, the new recruits will support the Amotekun Corps in responding faster to threats such as kidnapping, robbery, and farm attacks. He explained that security is a major priority, and adding more trained personnel will help reduce criminal activities in both rural and urban areas.
