EPL: Why we lost 4-1 to Arsenal – Tottenham manager, Thomas Frank

Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has opened up on his team’s 4-1 defeat to Arsenal, admitting that his side struggled to cope with the Gunners’ pace and attacking threat. Frank said that while Spurs tried to implement their game plan, key mistakes and lapses in concentration made the difference, allowing Arsenal to dominate the match from the start.

According to Frank, Tottenham had moments of control but failed to convert opportunities, which left them vulnerable at the back. He emphasised that the team must learn from the game, pointing out that conceding early goals shifted the momentum heavily in Arsenal’s favour. The manager also noted that the quality and speed of Arsenal’s front line created problems that Spurs were not fully prepared for.

Frank admitted that individual errors contributed to the heavy loss, and he plans to address these in training. He believes that Tottenham still has the potential to compete at the top, but they need to stay focused and disciplined for the remaining fixtures. Frank reassured fans that the team is determined to bounce back stronger in their next matches.

Despite the disappointing result, Frank highlighted some positive moments, including fighting spirit and tactical adjustments made during the game. He encouraged supporters to remain patient as Spurs work on improving both defence and attack. According to him, learning from tough losses is essential for long-term success in the Premier League.
