Otti moves against food insecurity, inaugurates 17 farm managers

The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Otti, has taken a major step to address food insecurity by inaugurating 17 new farm managers across the state. The initiative aims to boost agricultural productivity and ensure steady food supply for residents.

Governor Otti stated that the appointment of the farm managers is part of a broader strategy to modernize farming, support local farmers, and create jobs in the agricultural sector. He emphasized the importance of efficient farm management in combating hunger.

The newly appointed managers are expected to oversee agricultural projects, improve farm yields, and implement policies that enhance food production. This move is also aimed at empowering young Nigerians and reducing reliance on imported food.

Otti called on the public to support the farm managers and work together with government agencies to achieve sustainable food security. He highlighted that collective effort is key to ensuring that no household in Rivers State goes hungry.
